From a background working with wood and using leather strops to maintain the sharpness of our chisels, we discovered that with the application of water, vegetable tanned leather was really effective at cleaning, realigning and honing the blades on modern disposable razors. We found this saved a small fortune on expensive replacement blades and made shaving a much smoother and more pleasurable experience.

Armed with this information, we developed a small handheld strop in 2018, called it the Razor Honing Pad and started selling them through our own website, independent retailers and artisan markets. We have exhibited at Covent Garden, Wells, The Frome Independent, most of the County Shows around the UK and Bath, Winchester, Exeter and Leicester Square Christmas Markets. We expanded our range to include razor strops such as hanging strops or belt strops for straight razors, paddle strops for knives and straight razors and bench strops for carpentry tools such as chisels or plane irons and kitchen knives. In 2021, we started adding to our range of associated shaving products – safety razors, shaving soaps, shaving bowls/dishes and shaving brushes some of which we make ourselves with the help of a master woodturner and a curated selection from renowned makers.

In 2022, we developed a range of natural Beard Care products based around an incredibly hydrating and conditioning blend of Argan Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Jojoba Oil and are are proud to sell a Nourishing Beard Oil, a Beard Balm and a Moustache Wax.

In 2024, we formulated our natural shaving soap which is Vegan friendly and made from a base of GM Free Soy Wax and Organic Coconut Oil together with our super-conditioning oils of Argan, Almond and Jojoba.

Then in 2025, we created our first fragrance named ‘SANDALWOUD’ from Sandalwood Mysore and rare Ouds from South East Asia. This is available as an Eau De Parfum, our Beard Oil, Beard Balm, Moustache Wax and a newly developed Tallow Shaving Soap.
